Share Lists
If you create or access a share list, any places that appear in this share list will be partially replicated on iCloud. This means other users who have access to this share list will see its places and any changes you made to them (unless stated otherwise by Placeboard when editing a place).
As Placeboard developers, we cannot read or write share lists stored on iCloud. We encrypt their content to ensure nobody can access them (including us) unless they have been invited to do so.
Please refer to Apple’s iCloud privacy overview for more information regarding the share list storage on iCloud servers.
Backups
If you export or import a backup, all your current Placeboard data will be packaged into a backup document and handed to a cloud storage service such as iCloud or DropBox. A Placeboard backup includes the history of your actions and any low-resolution photos previously imported with Placeboard.
Unlike a share list, a backup isn't encrypted by Placeboard, which means security and privacy depends entirely on the cloud service.
Available cloud storage services depend on the iOS storage extension you have installed. By default, only iCloud is available.
Please refer to the privacy overview of your storage cloud service, and its related iOS storage extension, for more information regarding backup storage on third-party servers.
Information We Collect
We only collects crash reports through HockeyApp. This helps us to know about issues you encounter and improve the application stability.
These crash reports don't contain any identifying information or private data saved while using Placeboard.
For example, we don't' track your location, people involved in share lists or which places you like or not. More generally speaking, we don't collect any personal or contact informations.
